1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to the site owner.
Some cookies are deleted when you close your browser (session cookies). Others remain on your device for a set period of time (persistent cookies).
2. How DiabFree Uses Cookies
DiabFree is currently a pre-launch quiz and waitlist page. We use a minimal set of cookies for three purposes:
| Cookie Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Keep the quiz running correctly as you move between screens. Without these, the quiz cannot function. | Session only |
| Analytics | Help us understand how many people visit, which quiz screens have the highest drop-off, and how to improve the experience. We use anonymized data only — no personal information is attached. | Up to 12 months |
| Marketing | Support our Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising campaign. The Meta Pixel may place a cookie to measure whether our ads led to a quiz completion or waitlist signup. We do not share your quiz answers or health information with Meta through this cookie. | Up to 90 days |
3. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies on our site are placed by third-party services we use. These include:
- Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) — measures ad campaign effectiveness. Governed by Meta's Cookie Policy.
- Google Fonts — loads the typefaces used on our site. May place a session cookie. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Analytics provider — if we use a tool such as Google Analytics or Plausible to measure quiz performance, it may place an analytics cookie. We configure these tools to anonymize IP addresses.
We do not allow third-party advertising networks other than Meta to place cookies on our site.
4. What We Do NOT Do
- We do not use cookies to identify your health condition or share it with advertisers
- We do not sell cookie data to any third party
- We do not use cookies to track you across other websites beyond what Meta's standard Pixel does for ad measurement
- We do not use fingerprinting or other tracking methods beyond standard cookies
5. How to Control or Disable Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies will prevent the quiz from working correctly. Disabling analytics or marketing cookies will not affect your ability to use the site.

To opt out of Meta advertising cookies specifically, visit Meta's Ad Preferences page.
6. Changes to This Cookie Policy
When DiabFree launches as a full application, our use of cookies may expand. We will update this Cookie Policy at that time and notify waitlist members by email if changes are significant.
The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
